    Description

This is for an original full ticket from October 10 1966 for a card of boxing which would be held at the Philadelphia Arena in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. On this night, two Philly greats would fight in the headline event with Gypsy Joe Harris knocking out Kitten Hayward in round
    7. On the undercard, Bennie Briscoe would KO CL Lewis in 6, Jimmy Parsons would win a 6 round decision over Johnny Keulian, Al Massey would KO Ellis Phillips in the first round, Tiger Williams in his boxing debut would defeat Jimmy Hayes in 4 rounds, and newcomer Jack O’Halloran, in only his second pro fight, would KO Bob Hazelton in the first round. For those not familiar with Jack O’Halloran, he would go on to become a Hollywood actor appearing in Superman 1 and 2 as the squeaking “Non”, along with roles in Dragnet, Baltimore Bullet and The Flintstones.
As a heavyweight boxer, he would go on to fight Ron Stander, Boone Kirkman, Joe Bugner, Ron Lyle, George Foreman and Ken Norton. Ticket is in great condition and is a nice memento from the golden era of Philadelphia boxing when Convention Hall, The Arena, Hotel Philadelphia, Blue Horizon and the Spectrum would consistently hold fights with some of the best talent that boxing had to offer.
