Just like your pool, your body needs to maintain a ph balance to stay in optimum health. Modern diets are high in acid forming foods and cause our bodies to get out of balance. These ph strips are a great way to make sure your body is where it should be...7.4. Right before my mother was diagnosed with cancer I took our whole family's ph......we were all in the 7 range and she was in the 5 range! If we would have been checking every week or month, we might have known something was wrong with her sooner. Check your levels on a regular basis!
How To Test your Body's pH
Urine -  Catch urine in a clean cup.  Dip tape into urine and read immediately.  Your urine will test more acidic than your saliva.
Saliva -  It is a little more tricky to test saliva as it is affected by many things including gum, smoking, eating or anything drank including water.  The best time to test is in the morning upon waking.  Spit out any film or excess saliva BEFORE  drinking, brushing your teeth or smoking.  Allow more saliva to form under the tongue.  Capture this saliva in a spoon or clean container and dip the ph paper in the saliva.  Read immediately.
You may test saliva throughout the day to determine how your diet affects your ph, but this must be done 2 hours after eating or drinking, ect.
This is why you need a .2 close range kit to monitor your health.  Note the difference between being 6.5 sand 7.0....you need close range increments to see these changes.
VERY ACIDIC - 5.5 - 5.8
The "danger zone". If you're in this pH Range, you MUST take serious steps to correct this acidity. My mother was in this range when we found out she had cancer.  This range means the body is 50 to 100 times too acidic! .
ACIDIC -  6.0 - 6.6
The "caution" zone means your body is 5 to 10 times too acidic. Make alterations to your diet and supplements with alkalizing elements will help to bring your pH back up to The OPTIMAL pH Zone.
OPTIMAL -  6.8 - 7.6
