Blown and cleaned Ostrich egg shell. We have about a half dozen eggs with mud stains on them. This happens when the hen lays the egg in the mud and it is not gathered quickly. The rooster sits on and incubates the eggs and is normally not in favor of allowing his eggs to be removed so the mud stains the freshly laid egg. The stains cannot be removed. There is nothing wrong with the quality or durability of the eggs. They are fine for painting, decorating, carving or practicing without spending a lot for an egg with no stains.
